This is my fourth entry into my new Beyblade Kanji Series!! ^____^
I was first inspired to make this series when I was skulking around on Wikipedia, and I was trying to see if there was any information regarding a new Beyblade season and I noticed Kai's name in kanji. Since I had recently gotten new calligraphy pens, I wanted to try my hand at oriental letters, and...Voila! Max's name in Kanji and Katakana. Max's name changes depending on which version of the Beyblade anime/manga you decide to refer to. I decided to go with Makkusu Mizuhara, his Japanese name 水原 マックス -- Mizuhara Max Mizu- -- n.: water -hara -- n.: 1. field; 2. prairie; 3. tundra; 4. moor; 5. wilderness | adj.: 1. original; 2. primitive; 3. primary; 4. raw His surname is in kanji, and his given name is in katakana. I wanted it to seem like the writing was on authentic parchment, so I used a parchment/canvas pattern as a background. I drew the kanji myself with a calligraphy pen; I scanned them in and edited the text in Macromedia Fireworks. ^^ I was very torn when it came to choosing an element to go with Maxie's name. I wasn't sure what would look good, or what would suit him best. I really wanted a brush with waves that seemed to have an oriental style to it, but alas... Anyway, I utilized the rippling water in one corner to represent Max's element, and then the bubbles to represent his bubbly personality Brushes: Ripples ~ Bubbles~ Border ~ Banner ~ Max is copyrighted to Takao Aoki Picture created in Macromedia Fireworks 8 & Photoshop Elements 7.0 Others in the Beyblade Kanji Series: Kai Hiwatari -- [link] Ray Kon -- [link] Tyson Kinomiya -- [link] |
